Well done Wakey - beat us fair and square with a weakened side too. As for the Giants - well yes embarrassing sums it up.
Still in the game remarkably at half time but just continued in the same vein. Too many one out carries, silly mistakes, needless penalties, attempts at miracle passes etc. ..
Most disappointing though was the lack of heart, desire, passion etc... We just went through the motions - expected much better motivation and win it for Ronan attitude. Our last chance to rescue something from this horrendous year and at least give us a shot at a semi final day out.
Wire and Widnes showed proper guts and determination last night with both giving their very all throughout - we should be embarrassed in comparison to that.
I thought the difference was the missed conversions, Brough's sin-binning and the gift interception try. We managed to make Wakey look good. The best side won on the night, in my opinion, because they had the most desire to win it. Just watching Cas and Wigan on tv - its probably a good thing that we've not progressed any further and have avoided a definite humiliation in the semis!
