| I can see it now, your 4,750 die hards sat in an empty stadium embarrassing our game on sky, that why your not likely to be in it in reality.
Joking apart my understanding is there has to be a £180k bond paid as last year. Huddersfield need to use an opportunity like this to increase there position in the local area and get bums on seats and promote the game to the younger kids businesses etc etc etc. Unfortunately Huddersfield are crap at marketing as their attendances prove. It's a shame really because on the field they are a team on the up.

Looks worse still at our stadium than Leeds as ours is a lot bigger place than leeds and if you were playing at our place there would still be plenty of empty seats.

It's all irrelevent anyway, we haven't been picked.
2015 Super League Grand Finalists Leeds Rhinos and Wigan Warriors will be joined by St Helens as the third team to compete in the Series. They will face the NRL Minor Premiers, Sydney Roosters, Grand Final runners up, Brisbane Broncos and NRL Champions, North Queensland Cowboys.
The World Club Series will be hosted by the First Utility Super League and played over three days from Friday February 19 to Sunday February 21, climaxing in the World Club Challenge to determine the world’s best Rugby League club.
As Leeds Rhinos claimed two of three possible qualification positions the Super League Board decided to invite St Helens to take part in the Series on the basis they reached both the Super League semi-final and Challenge Cup semi-final in the 2015 season, have a strong history in the World Club Challenge and will add value to the 2016 tournament.

I am just disgusted with this. Saints are in because they are a "big club". Not for any other reason.
I hope they get shat on by whichever NRL club they play.

as an outsider looking in, im disappointed you didnt get the game, not only would it have given myself an fc fan the chance to come over and see ex fc player moa in action, (im sure other fc fans would have come over too as moa was a big crowd favourite), it also smacks of a closed shop and favouritism from the rfl, superleague and more likely sky tv!
any wonder fans get fed up of the same old same old!

| So then, Saints Wigan and Leeds ARE the Super League according to the governing body !!
Can't be having a team whose finished 1st, 3rd, 3rd in consecutive seasons taking part. If we did the double they'd still find a way of not letting us play !!

| rumours going around that we "declined" it again!
disappointing i think we deserved a crack at it, if it we weren't offered it then disappointed with the powers that be, if we have declined it, then a big disappointment with the club.

Not correct. We did decline it last year as we were asked to donate £75K towards the prize money, but we have not been invited this year which is an absolute disgrace and just shows the RFL to be what they are, totally corrupt and unable to organise a pee up etc.
I'm not a fan of union but having seen glimpses of their WC they are much more professional in everything they do, from the RU management to the Refs. They make our bunch of clowns look totally inept and the world series selection of Saints proves it
