I remember this. they were going to convert part of the stadium into a bar. It was a few years back now.

You are right Stella, it was when they were developing the ticketing/front end, had an e mail, wish I had saved it, from Mr Thewlis stating that it would be a members bar, free to join due to limited capacity

scrapped due to financial issues !

I believe the area originally allocated (might be wrong !) became the shop area
If so as a lot of the "gear" in there is Town stuff it might have been down to agreement between the two "occupants"

Though would have thought Town could have got some mileage out of that as well?

However as the stadium catering side /bars are a separate franchise it may be the stadium company who had some input

Either way --it didnt happen as we know!

All I remember is that supporters were promised an area but KDSL then decided that they'd get more money if the proposed space became a conference/dining area.

It appeared to be very short-sighted to me.
