The ref was abysmal full stop. It's not a matter of blaming, but a statement of fact. We had a far superior ref this morning at our U13s game. Child is poor to the point where it becomes an issue of player safety - he has no control and no idea.

James Child is a poor referee. I genuinely don't think it was anything to do with him we lost the game - don't drop the ball and stop repeating the same attacking move that didn't work the first 6 times - but he just ruins every game he referees. How can you attract new fans to the game and keep the ones we've got as a game when the referees continually spoil the spectacle? It's the area of Rugby League that needs the most attention.

i did a topic a few seasons ago about when we get bentham and child as ref, on games won/lost when these were in charge of us, not sure what the stats are now but cant be great
