It's not really that you won nothing, you were beyond terrible. The basic and most important reason you are in this league at all is because someone gave you access to a stadium, and the game wanted the stadium. Didn't work at first, under promotion and relegation you were up and down every other year. With licensing there was time to plan, and you're the biggest beneficiaries of it by far.
Now the stadium's broke and it looks like kids playing a pre-match game five hours before the real kick off.
Quote: moggie "Maybe the down fa of Bradford and an upturn in our fortunes may change that.'"
Maybe, but if you're looking for ways to blame the success of others for your clubs abject failings in getting any interest then you're looking for ways to divert attention from the issue. The success of others is not the reason you have failed. There is not a finite amount of local interest who just keep moving about according to the whim of the day. Some do, and often were told that people from Halifax or Huddersfield are seen with Bradford and Leeds stickers in their cars. Because people don't move at all, and so we have all the evidence we need there. It's definitely why Huddersfield get 5k instead of 12 or 13.
Compare Huddersfield's crowds like for like with Bradford's for 2013, your banner year. You finished top of the league that year. You have won something. And in all but the barest of cases, the ones that relied on big clubs that were playing rivals (but far ahead in every other respect) who had fans willing to turn out to see a decent game, mid-crisis Bradford were getting bigger crowds to a hole in the ground.
