| Totally agree, night games are always a better atmosphere and it helps more 18-40 yo can attend who usually play on a sunday.

| i would say the nature of the game and what was at stake contributed to a better atmosphere rather than the day, i'm prety sure had that game been played on a sunday the atmosphere would have been the same.
i do agree in a way though that sunday games tend to have a more relaxing feel about them.

| The stakes.
The opposition.
The travelling fans.
The other factor is the big screen. Having replays of incidents fuels the crowd. Had the big screen not been there then the few "controversial" incidents would be forgotten quicker.

| Atmosphere in the play off at Wire last year was unreal. Wonder if it was because it was a Thursday?
Probably not. More to with what was at stake etc. similar to last night.

| Whatever it was it was a bloody superb atmosphere in the BR stand, it seemed everyone was joining in and encouraging the team, i do think Friday had a bit of a help in it and had a 'night out' feel to it, but also what was at stake and the performance in general helped.

Friday nights have a different feel about them, and the bring in a different section of fans. To be fair, I've never been to a Sunday game that approaches the atmosphere of big nights under the Lights, even when it's a big team.
