He is contesting the charge!!! That seems unbelievable, on TV it seemed clear that he made contact with 4 seperate punches (one on the ground and 3 after he got to his feet). He punched the guy 4 times, how can he claim he is not guilty?
I would have thought he should get the top end of the punishment or EGPs are pointless, it seems a crazy decision to contest the charge - cue the committee agreeing that his clenched fist was headbutted 4 times.
The real scandal though is that Thaler didn't send him off - we will never know but Leigh could be in the semis if Thaler had not bottled it.
