| first of all...yes we lost! Yes Ferres should av been sent off, even tho there was no malice and no intent to injure lomax but he still deserved to be sent off, it was just one of them tackles, and im sure brett is as gutted as us fans are, he is not a malicious player.
Without creating a arguement about the reffing decisions for 78 mins, Broughs DG should have been given, it was clear as day, clear on the replays, we was robbed of a chance of progressing in to the next round and will lose money for this, what will Phil Bentham get? a slap on the wrist and dont do it again! if i made a mistake like that in my job id be sacked!! But we played well so dont let the result detract from the performance (i know that dont get us in the next round) onwards and upwards
Dont think the protest that was mentioned on twitter for the Hull game will be worth it unless we get the hull fans involved, lets have the whole stadium doing something to sort out refereeing in general not just out error from the idiot bentham as im sure every club has had a bad decicision go against them.

| Firstly for obvious reasons my preferred result today would have been a Huddersfield win.
At first I thought the drop goal was clearly over. The more I watch it I honestly (and it pains me to say it) don't think it did. It was inconclusive at best.
The reason you lost today was poor discipline and a poor effort at a tackle from Ferres.

Not forgetting we did not go for 2 early in the 2nd half then coughed the ball up on the 3rd or 4th tackle. The kicking tee was bought on so I am guessing Baloo wanted to go for 2 and Brough made the decision not to.

| I've re-watched it numerous times and changed my opinion, I don't think it went over. It's drifting out all the way after starting in line. By the time it gets to the posts, which is later than seems from the camera behind, I think it's drifted slightly too far, still an unbelievably tough decision though with countless replays.

| If there was a league for moaning, Huddersfield and their fans would win the league leaders shield, grand final, challenge cup and the world club challenge. Moan, moan, moan.
The drop goal was wide anyway

| As a Wigan fan I thought the drop goal was over but in all honestly it should never have gone to this you had a kickable penalty just after second half started and you elected to run the ball those 2 points if kicked would have won you the match.

| People saying it 'clearly went over'. I have yet to see this clear evidence. I still can't decide whether I think it went over or not.
Two different angles contradict each other, so going to the VR would be pointless. Bentham was in a good position and it should be refs call.

| waste of breath been saying for years RL bent and stick by it. Seen simular tackles to Ferres one each week but never seen a red before? Wont hold my breath for red card next time see one either unless its a Giants player getting red. Likes to send ours off old Phillip, games corrupt and has been for years, so called big 4 happy and try keep it brushed under the carpet while the game loses fans from all the other clubs in droves. Wont be wasting my brass next season either. Good Night, God Bless

| Ferres cost the Giants the game.
They'll miss him and Brough for the next few weeks.

| Plenty of cover for ferres, I'm not concerned there. What gets me is the saints fans who claim that because brough missed three he deserved to not be given the fourth
If the boot was on the other foot and you had just been denied in those circumstances would the saints players coach and fans have responded differently? No loving chance.
