It was a bad tackle and deserved a red but if you think he meant to hurt the lad or get sent off then you're a bit special. He's one of ours, he made a mistake and he's paid for it. End of story. He feels bad enough I'm sure without castigating him as he walks off the field. In other words; jog on.

I don't think it was malicious, however there were several points in the tackle where he could of left (and "just" conceded the penalty) but he chose to continue, and I think that will count against him. 3 games is a minimum 4-5 would be my estimate, any more would be harsh (especially on top of the red) and nothing more than reacting to recent events.

Lomax showed an amount of skill keeping his head straight. If he'd of tucked in, it could of been really bad.

Funny how the same player blatantly took out Luke Robinson in the air made it look like he tried to pull out but just as dangerous I think !!

It's a shame that this is one of the worst incidents of this nature since the Alex McKinnon incident and he could possibly be made a scapegoat for the tackle where as previous players have got off scott free for similar incidents

I thought that the tackle on Hull FC 's Whiting against Widnes was even worse though and that tackle only was worthy of a warning?

I think it's a sending off and will cop a ban but I honestly think Bentham would have copped out and put him on report if the McKinnon incident wasn't the other week.

I think 4/5 game ban is about right but whatever ban he gets needs to be the same for offenders of the same crime in the future.

Mad response and can not understand why perhaps 70% of our fans applauded him off. No castigating but no ovation either for giving them the chance to get back in the game.
