I didn't look for scapegoats, just generalised what was wrong with the team overall, and I will take this opportunity to Credit Cats for playing to the conditions ref and rules to the line, however I still hold that this loss could make or break our season as one extra loss last year would have seen us all crying with sorrow rather than crying with joy as we did.
yes it was bound to be tough and Cats will beat other teams at home and probably away but for me we could and should have won that one.

However, I will close by agreeing that we didn't play well.

Let's remember that we scored the most points in SL last season and had the 3rd best defensive record. We will come good again.

To help get over this game I re watched the Leeds game! It helped lots! We are not consistent enough in our performances but everyone in any job has bad days!
It's the effort gauge we need to get closer together! Most would say we don't mind losing a game in which we put everything into but it's the lack of that is most frustrating!
We are a good team with brilliant potential but for me the three things that do my nut in is
Line speed, in defense we take two steps forward and stop allowing the players crash onto us. The crowd responds to aggressive defence and the opposition being hit hard quickly after the play the ball causes more issues than standing off them waiting for them to come to us!
Three massive props and they are receiving the ball flat footed, hit it at pace to break through! Koppy and taai attempt it more than the rest of the pack but don't receive the ball enough.
Running hard wardle and jerry are making more of a return than our big men, a winger and a are showing up the big lads at times

Overall I am not concerned but would have been nice to go into the wire game on the back if a convincing win!

It sounds like this was more a mentally lost game to me? Richard Silverwood said in the bar after the game that one of the times he pulled Danny Brough out for a chat was to tell him to have a word with our players and tell them to shut up arguing and bickering with each other and get on with the game. Now that's definitely not like us as we usually have a good changing room?

The game spoilt what was a cracking weekend unfortunately. We were simply not good enough, the players reactions at the end showed me enough to see it annoyed them too and they knew they had let the handful of us who'd spent our money going out there down big time..no individual is to blame, 1-17 were awful !!

Saturdays game was catalans only 2nd game at home this season, we all know they are hard to beat on their own patch and useless away... no wonder they have had a bad start.

as for us, we seem to start well and still end up with nothing...well apart from the LLS... if we start indifferent this season and come up trumps at the end for a change ill be happy
