lets not get too carried away, yes it was a very poor performance from us, we didn't get the rub of the green with a few decisions, i thought their 3rd and 4th tries were forward passes,not to mention whitehead knocking on in the build up to the 3rd try.
let's not forget that despite their poor start and league position,catalans are a good team,especially at home and were due a win at some point,tonight they were better than us in every department,this happens sometimes!
very disappointed with our performance though, i think we tried bashing them up down the middle but it didn't work, only the last 10 minutes did we try and move the ball around we looked decent but it was too little too late, poor decision making, poor defending and poor discipline at times cost us tonight. i thought we really missed bruno's work rate and defence tonight.

it's 2 defeats out of 6, it's still early, we have got lunt and patrick to come back it's not the end of the world, and words like embarrassing and abysmal are a bit harsh,as are singling out individuals, it was a poor team performance,and i don't think anderson will be too happy, losing to catalans in perpignan is hardly an embarrassment.

It just wasn't huddersfield's day but in the grand scheme of things this result and performances means practically nothing for huddersfields season.

It's not losing that was the embarrassment it was the performance. Yet again we didn't put the effort in. Slow line speed, zero creativity, lazy tackling, no attempt to TRY and ptb quickly. I feel sorry for the fans that have paid A LOTof money to witness that effort.

^Agree 100% Where's the pride, passion and commitment? we all are C&G but can't just brush the rubbish we have been serving up under the carpet and keep saying we will come good. The biggest pack in SL has been out muscled 3 times this season (Baloo said it would never happen again after Hull away in play offs) Where's the aggression and win at all costs attitude top teams have? Amazed that some feel that performance was acceptable against a Catalans team on the back of 5 losses out of 5, I should rephrase that as half a Catalans team as they have a number of regular 1st teamers missing thru injury or suspension. We must be the most inconsistent team in RL

Very, very poor performance. Didn't see that coming.

The lack of the fundamentals and application was the most disappointing. Falling off tackles, woeful kick chase, poor ball retention and lack of discipline.

Wardle, grix, broughton went ok. Apart from that we were way off. Our pack was particularly poor. No one seemed to be running onto the ball with any venom, seemingly always from a standing start. Crabtree in particular was very poor. He lacked impact in attack and defence. I can understand eoarl conserving energy when he starts and plays the full 80, but when he's being spelled, he should be putting more in.

Hope josh gets another crack, as despite making little go forward, he was at least trying to get a quick ptb.

All that said, it's early days, and we know we can compete with any team. Something isn't quite right yet, but I'd rather it at this time of year, rather than crunch time.

i haven't seen anyone saying the performance was acceptable, it wasn't, by our own high standards we set last year it was a very poor performance.
but like i said, you have to give credit to the opposition too, catalans were good tonight, far too good for us, i just think people are being a bit dramatic over it all, it was a poor performance and i feel for the fans that are over there, but im pretty sure it wont spoil their weekend.

we just have to accept that sometimes we play badly and the other team plays well, no pointing fingers and finding scapegoats, it just happens.
we could beat warrington next week and everything is ok again, nothing is won or lost in march!

We won the league by one point after having wins in march last year so something is won in March and April May etc. unless we now want to start believing every other clubs hype that the league means nothing. lets not bother watching and caring till Sept then.

Not been able to see the game but sounds like we had a shocker.

no surprise losing to catalans over in France, only surprise was the bookies offered 6/1 for them to win! had abit of that.

expect to see a much improved Giants next week, we normally see a response after a defeat...we all thought the world had ended when we lost to hull kr and widnes then all was great again v leeds.

we are just pacing ourselves like all the top teams do now
