| Fans of others clubs who say the LLS doesn't matter can't possibly understand the Giants / HRLFC mindset. 81 years since we won the league! Possibly, not one fan alive has seen us win the league. Lot's of other clubs never win the league, but no other club ever finished bottom of the Superleague 4 times in a row and were the laughing stock we were. 60 or 70 point losses the norm.
30 years ago, success was being drawn against a big club in the C.C. Never in our wildest dreams did we think we could ever regularly play the big boys yet now we regularly BEAT the big boys.
Is the LLS the be all and end all?... Hell No! But it's a hell of a way to kick on and be the best.
One man said something along the lines of this a while ago 'This is a big club, and I'm gonna take it from here, right to the top'. Well, Alex Murphy, we're not there yet but I'd like to thank you for the desire you planted in us all, and I hope if we do, you realise the part you played in our success.
One step at a time. Keep it going boys.

| I think he meant re-write our clubs own history, as in never having won anything in the SL era, not finishing top of the league for 80 + years etc....

The Communist Cap - dragging down success and aspiration to the levels of those who cba.: |
|
| Quote: pies-r-us "I don’t think that’s the kind of history rewriting the post meant. That’s just plain lying! Huddersfield has confounded the pundits by not blowing out (well not yet, there’s still the play-offs) in the closing stages of the season, like hopefully we won’t do as well, and they have held it all together. I for one would like the league winners to be called the Champions, and have a guaranteed place in the GF which would put more meaning into the weekly rounds again, but I think I’m just whistling in the dark. Well done Hudds, and good luck for the future.
Agreed.
We might see a very different league table then too.
Then again they would need to ensure the team finishing top was not penalised by sitting around waiting for the other clubs to get to the GF. Maybe compress the playoffs into 2 weeks?
Oh hang on.......Sky.......... ![Smile icon_smile.gif](images/smilies//icon_smile.gif)

| Under the proposed 2x12 then 3x8 system, the top 8 from SL1 would carry forward their points into their play-off competition.

| 1. If we win, we have won our first major trophy in donkeys years.
2. I've seen us win the NFP GF etc..., but nothing in the top flight, if we win I will remember it forever.
3. We've been written off all season, so if we win answering the critics will make all the more sweet.
Come on Saints, but lets not expect them to help us out, be prepared for the game of our lives against Wakey. Leave no stone unturned in readiness of the biggest game in our clubs modern history.
