Old cliche and true but to get nilled in a friendly is unprecedented these games if anything are higher scoring affairs especially teams first hit ups of the new season

no surprise that saints defence was good with mr brown in charge, remember us having one of those!

they would be, didnt he disallow 3 or 4 tries for saints

Its not a question of believing it, its simply true

They serve the two purposes of raising fitness and testing youngsters

If the score was reversed I'd be saying EXACTLY the same thing. Same goes for the Widnes game too.

Also getting rid of the rustiness and trying out some combos. (Although the latter probably only really relates to new coaches)

Also helps with confidence, if that's an issue in the first place.
