Hope this figure is wrong but I'm not surprised huge gamble to give them away last year and the management of the club last season was just a shambles. Will Anderson turn things round I for one don't think he's the man hope I'm wrong but selling Eden is not good in my view

Perhaps selling eden was necessary to make up for the fact that folk have not bought their season tickets!

Sense of perspective the deadline for cheap tickets is just under 2 weeks away so I guess we will know the real situation then, a fair few people will use some of their November pay packet to buy their ticket and hopefully the days between 28th and 30th Nov will be very busy down the ticket office.

Or perhaps he thinks by the 30th November deadline most will have renewed and you have no proof whatsoever that they will not.

Deadlines are there for a reason and people know it makes no real difference if they pay up on 1st Sept or 30th Nov but some of our fans think they are superior just because of when they renewed (and yes I have done so myself as funds allowed but was going to wait until 28th November pay day but a back dated pay rise sorted that)

Nobody really knows the numbers so no point really going into it. Humorous to see the "I told you so.." type garbage get spouted though.

I'd like to put forward the suggestion that negative, know it all, pious garbage posted on internet forums does far more damage than any of the perceived negatives or failings that these people seem to find worthy of wasting bandwidth on.

Tomorrow, once I've calmed down and gathered my thoughts, I may put it in writing to this forum c/o RLFans and hopefully by this time next week things will be completely different. If not, well, I shall practise what I preach and go and set up my own club and be SL Champions once we're admitted to SL at the next round of franchises after our formation.

I can't see that 4000 people have waited until November pay day to renew- especially as its the last pay day for money to buy Christmas presents for many. The club rely on season ticket sales to plan-as it's guaranteed income. Without ken we would be in a right pickle right now.

I wont be getting one unless my financial situation improves! But even for those who can afford it i cant say i blame them, some,like myself,daz,jools,paul etc will still support this club out of habit and loyalty,others though will have lost enthusiasm after last year. Lets fave it there was nothing to be enthused about or entertained for the 2nd half of the season and for that reason a lot will simply walk away and find other things to do, im not knocking it but thats the reality. The club had a big chance to push forward and increase the fan base but now seem to have missed the boat,the lack of communicaton and transparency towards the fans wont be helpiing either!

IMHO despite the sarcy posts from others i think that those fans who have some contact or influence on the club should be trying to use it NOW.

There are many complaints and suggestions fans have made and the club have seemed to respond to them very slowly.

Now is the time for those who can influence things to try to make some changes to help maintain the clubs current position so that things do not deteriorate further.

I will still attend games and support the team ( finances allowing). But i would really like to see the supporters club and the Club do something to work together to build the fan base of the club.

The club should look at a monthly payment system- a bit like it works with car insurance. I know they do a system, but it's not spread out enough to be affordable for a lot of people.
Could pay £15-20 per month over the year, and you would pick up your ticket prior to each game. or even better they could sort out the swipe card system. To take part you would have to be taken up prior to September by anyone interested, that way you already have paid something prior to the season and if a payment is missed you can't collect your next ticket or your swipe card won't swipe. I know it would take a lot of setting up but if it makes it more affordable to more people it could be worth it.

I haven't renewed but I will be before the end of this month - 4 tickets all told, no net gain as one of my friends isn't renewing due to work commitments

Don't forget a lot of people get season tickets as presents

Last point - I'm sure I read on this forum a week or so ago that we'd sold plenty tickets and were on track to match last seasons sales...might have been in the Examiner. So as has been pointed out, threads like this are based on hearsay and rumour and do no one any good
