end of the day only so long ken davy could dig into his pockets before raising prices and with the last 3 - 4 seasons of good prices cant understand peoples complaints

what hasnt helped him is this nathan brown / players saga this season putting fans of coming in the first place never mind at higher prices but i will deffo be getting another one

So one of the clubs stated ambitions is to get to the magic 10,000 average crowds. How do they get closer next season?

All this talk about cheap prices for the past few seasons is garbage.

Granted a year or two back we had the £50 season tickets, but at all other times they have been 'standard. What were they 2 years ago? Similar to next year if my memory serves me correct.

Some people will moan about anything, players, PA, ticket prices.

We need to take a leaf out of GiantDaz's Facebook page "The Huddersfield Giants 2012 'positive' thread - negativity will be deleted".

There,s probably some logic in their statement, but l carn,t find it.
l am extreemly dissapointed in this season
but lve been watching since 1959
if 10 years ago someone would have said in the next decade
we will be in 2 CC finals 4 semis, and regular playoff contenders
l would have said in your dreams

and part of our problem is the 'newer' fans who have been attracted by this rise in fortunes have too high expectations on the club - they EXPECT us to win silverware whereas some of us longer term fans would love it if it happened but i certainly dont expect it, i dont just follow a team to see them win silverware or i wouldn't have ever been anywhere near a Huddersfield game !!.

People will disagree with me here but i would rather have 4-5000 fans who will support the team no matter what rather than the 'ooh, giants got to a cup final lets start watching them now' type who expect too much from this club !

In my experience many of the newer fans are the ones that want to get behind the team and want to sing and chant. The biggest probloem we have is a certain type of fan who seem to think that cos they've been watching the club for years then they are entitled to see better performances. There are some proper miserable old gits that follow this club they won't get behind the team and just moan and whine. The sort of people who called Eorl "shirley" for most of his career. Criticised Matt Whittaker every time he touched the ball etc. Perhaps the club should instigate random positivity checks.

i think we have more than our fair share of miserable gits at our games !!

my point was the newer fans expect to see success because they've only ever known us as a top 4/5 club with cup finals and semi final appearances so anything less is seen as failure to them whereas to us longer term fans a lot of us are still amazed that we're seeing the club occupy such lofty heights and are still enjoying being here.
