| 1. Grix - Rubbish, confidence gone all together. Good call to hide him at full back, cos could have been a whole lot worse if he was defending in his usual position - that said Eden should have been FB
2. Murphy - One major cock up and didn't challenge for the ball well enough on occasions when briers put the ball up in the corner, which is a shame as he is usually fairly solid if nothing else.
3. Gilmour - Cr*p, can understand moving him to centre for defence, but those knock ons where criminal. That killed some of our best field position in the 2nd half when we needed the 1st score. If we could have got back to within 6 points with 20 mins to go, we still had a chance. Those knock ons ended our challenge
4. Cudjoe - Had a good game and was fully committed! Not his biggest fan, but got to say he played well. Just need to get that from him every week.
5. Jerry - Played well and glad he is back in the side, we have really missed him.
6. Brown - Cr*p - Correct decision to move him to Stand off in place of Grix. But he just didnt create anything. Confidence gone now and not a leader in my eyes at all.
7. Brough - 100% as always. Would have liked to see him take the ball to the line a bit more to stand the wire defenders up abit and leave them in 2 minds, but hard to do behind a beaten pack with no one offering them selves as runners.
8. Eorl - Worked hard and carried the ball well, but was left out there fair too long before being rested, he was blowing out off his ass early in the second half.
9. Moore - Didn't really notice him much
10. Mason - Wasn't as effective as he can be. Gave away silly penalty. He needs to be playing regularly, and we should see him back to his best.
11. Faalogo - One good run for the try, other than that didn't notice him much, other than the occassions when he couldn't be d making his tackles, wire went througt gaps left by him. With a bit more desire he would have made those tackles. Didn't want it enough
12. Ferguson - Didn't notice him too much first half, but he got his head through the line on a few occassions in the second half - just needed a runner on his shoulder to pop the ball off to.
13. Bruno - Defence spot on and clearly wanted to win - he should have been at centre instead of Gillmore
14. Robinson - Again worked hard. but think he is just a shade off his best at the moment. Would usually expect him to zip throught the defence at the ruck or with a little dummy, but cant remember any. But then again he needs a pack thats going forward and a quick play of the ball which he didnt get.
15. Faiumu - went ok, but needed runners on his shoulder to slip the ball out to once he had beaten his opposite number. His foot work is class. Every body knows what is coming when he gets the ball, but the defence still has no chance. For god sake he should have two men going with him everytime he takes the ball up.
16. Patrick - Didn't see much of him really. He needs the ball when we are on the front foot. We should have been launching him at Briers all afternoon.
17. Fairbank - Had a good game worked hard in defence and you could tell he wanted it. Should be playing every week.
Overall, i do feel our scramble in defence was very good and our desire really showed in that department. But if Atkins was a good centre wire should have had at least 2 maybe 3 walk ins down that side. We missed a trick not sending a lead runner at him then slipping the ball round the back like bret hodgson does cos Atkins defence is a joke at times.
We needed to score first in the second half and to be fair we really pushed for it, but after that first twenty mins in the second half we didnt have much fuel left in the tank. Key mistakes by the usual few killed any chance we had off really.

| Grix - Poor game, plenty effort but one he'll want to forget
Murphy - Other than one drop played pretty well, good defensive reads
Gilmour - Poor game, hands have gone, not capable of playing centre any more
Cudjoe - Classy performance, one of the best players on the park
McGillvary - Ditto
Brown - Looks like he is seeing out time until his move to Widnes, think he is trying but very poor and keeps getting too squared up on defence, too easily stepped.
Brough - Played well, by normal standards, average by Danny Brough standards.
Crabtree - Really good, what would happen to our pack without him?
Moore - Decent performance
Mason - First stint was good, but we had lost up front by the time he returned
Ferguson - Played really well
Fa'alogo - Started well then disappeared
Lawrence - Excellent defensive performance
Robinson - Tried hard, lacked a platform due to lack of go forward
Faiumu - Did what he does well, not his fault, would have been better with a real prop, did make a monster try saving hit on Carvell under our sticks.
Patrick - Little impact, not convinced he was used correctly
Fairbank - Good defensive performance, but a short stint
Overall, 3 very disappointing performances, the rest were either ok or very good, but the mix of players/positions was wrong, too light.

| Quote: BOYD2 "Wish some fans would take there Crabby specs off apart from runing down the slowest centre on the planet he did nothing FFS the mans 19st and 6 6, he should be blasting his way through deffences and his line speed is poor, i am sorry if it upsets people but he aint the player people make him out to be.'"
i agree about crabtree in the warrington game i thought he was poor
but he is not that type of prop anymore for blasting through defences, used to be when he came off the bench as an impact player, but since then hes lost weight and is now a starting prop doing almost 80mins on some occasions and gets through a ton of work
wish he would do offloads more though...seems to have been told to stop by brown but now browns gone will could see it again

Glad I'm not the only one that noticed this ^
How Doof remained on the pitch for the first 37 minutes beats me,Fairbank showed more enthusiasm in his first couple of minutes when he subbed him than Doof managed in the whole of his 37.
You would expect a former NZ international to set an example,I thought these overseas players dreamed of playing at Wembley.

| 1. Grix - Very poor and low on confidence. Some sympathy that he's been messed about positionally but not been good enough at all this season. Eden has to be given the position for the rest of the season
2. Murphy - Seems to be short on pace for a winger. Reasonably solid apart from the one glaring, p*ss poor error when under no pressure. We didn't get the ball out wide quick enough to him to allow him to make an impact but feeling is he's no more than a squad player.
3. Gilmour - Past it. No point in him playing another game this season.
4. Cudjoe - Brilliant. Didn't deserve the display of those around him. Again service to him was simply too slow.
5. Jerry - Great to have him back. Hate to repeat myself but he did all he could considering the how slow we were working the ball out wide.
6. Brown - Rubbish. No point him playing for us again this season. Confidence is shot.
7. Brough - As always, one of our better players but...he lost the crucial battle with Briers and was very much second best in that contest. Forwards made no yards which made it very hard for him to be in position to put some good attacking kicks in. Didn't make enough yardage with some of the penalties & often kicks too early in the tackle count.
8. Eorl - Did everything he could but our pattern of play was so obvious and predictable, Wire always read it and he was always running into a Wire wall.
9. Moore - Service he provided was just too predicitable. Same plays all the time, easily read giving the forwards little chance to make yards. Has improved over the season but still way short of where we need him. Lunt is head and shoulders the better player.
10. Mason - Again not given a chance by a predictable attack but miles off where he was 2 years ago. A favourite of mine who seems to lack the agression and passion he had. Either give him a run of games or move him on.
11. Fa'alogo - As others have said, he's in the team to bring leadership and experience in these big games. After the first try he did nothing. He was a monster when he arrived but maybe injuries have taken their toll.
12. Ferguson - Plenty of commitment but little else. Ran as hard as he could but plays were too predictable. Reasonably solid in defence.
13. Bruno - Played very well. Always very solid in defence but wish he had a little more to offer going forward. Worth a run in this position.
14. Robinson - Couldn't understand why he didn't start but lacked his usual zip when he came on. Too predictable at the play the ball and too slow it getting us going
15. Faiumu - Lots of effort with no support and therefore ineffectual
16. Patrick - Needs to play more often with more minutes. Not utilised enough. I really hope Baloo gives him his chance
17. Fairbank - Thought he showed some real effort and passion that shamed others. Deserves a run in the team.
Of course, none of the above takes into account just how solid Wire were and how well they played. However, our attack was shocking and I don't care who you are, if you give Wire that much ball and have to defend that much, you'll make the mistakes and lose the game.
Our attack is just so predictable (I may have mentioned this...) and slow. It takes an age to get the ball from Dummy Half to first receiver and about 3 days to reach the wing. The forwards have little chance to make yards as the opposition knows exactly whats coming. We really need to address this and quick - and I'm sure Baloo will!
