Quote: Ivor C&G Scarf "I thought we did OK today. We got out of 2nd gear but not 3rd.
There was plenty fast, free-flowing rugby. We moved the ball across the pitch throughout the game.
Leroy's 'error' was an attempt at a quick pass to Murphy. If it had have come off, Murphy could well have scored. If he didn't pass, Leroy was tackled and possibly into touch.
Not having a go at people on here, but after two successive moves where the ball went from left to right and then back again, a couple of people behind us shouted 'for goodness sake Fartown, move the ball about'.
Halfway through the 2nd half Moore made a mistake. A bloke in front went ballistic - Moore had been crap all game. Little Ivor had a go at this chap and defended Moore.
LI is one of the most unbiased people I have ever met. He sees the game totally objectively. My point being that people see what they want to see not what is actually happening on the pitch. We've been playing bad so we played bad yesterday. A player has been playing awful recently so he had a bad game yesterday.
It's not that long since we were saying how well Gilly had been playing in his unaccustomed role. Some people were slating him last year. Now we've had a bad patch so that's all forgotten.
Ganson - apart from not policing the offside and laying on, he had a good game letting it flow without interfering [good to tell the TV wasn't there!]. Objectively I agreed with almost every diecision he made, even though I didn't like some of them. [He missed a forward pass from which we scored, was it to Bruno? I can't remember.]'"
Couldnt agree more with this post, it infuriates me how people have their favourites and their scapegoats, looking for any reason possible to praise someone they like, and similarly any reason to knock down anyone they dont. Now isnt the time to complain we need to get behind the lads and try and build some momentum for the semis!
