I think we're in a situation here where the RFL disciplinary have been so weak and inept for so long that the banned players can refer back to previous inept decisions as reasoning to get let off. McDermott's defence of the player in the appeal is a straight up joke, it's actually pretty funny if you read it and take it in. Please don't ban him, we know he is guilty of raising the knee and that he's been warned about it before but I've tried unseccessfully to this point to coach it out of him and our next game is a huge game. Everybody hates him but he tries his best.

In any other appeals process that would be giving the panel all the evidence they need to uphold the decision. But not the RFL.

I think there's 2 different panels mate. Hence the amount of times that bans have been overturned/changed in the past.
