We all want to see some silverware and our hopes are climbing
Whilst we must be patient and not get too carried away i do also hope
that lessons are bieng learned with the Giants coaching staff who everyone must admit
have made one or two strange decisions and try to put right some basic flaws which have crept into our game .
We are more than capable as we showed early part of the season

if time would stand still..... I would have Brad drew back thats what we have lacked or a similar type of player back up half or hooker bags of experience who can guide the team around the park !! Doesn't need to play every week but so valuable...

Reality check

YUP !! and hopefully lessons learnt we aren't doing badly but need quality rather than quantity in certain positions.... GF can be reached from 4th and play off football is different again its like the lottery...you have to be in it to win it !!

I said at the start of the season I would be happy with top four and a good cup run. It looks like I will be happy, however when we had that purple patch in the middle beating saints Leeds and wire perhaps I got a bit carried away and started to expect more. Just a shame we lost to crus and shaky as we would be in a better position.
Looking at our team on paper we are not quite up there with the likes of Wigan, wire and even saints in reality- they have had more time (and money) to build a squad but we are getting there and as Ken Davy has said it's about building and we certainly seem to be heading in the right direction. We have come a long long way from the days of John Kear and mal Reilly.
Based on my initial expectations we have had a good season.

We need some quality centres.

This season we've been too inconsistant and should be doing better its as simple as that. I think you're wrong saying we are fickle. We've got a briliant team who should in all fairness be clear of Saints and stood third in the table and who should have been playing semi final rugby last weekend. We've lost some very stupid points and games over the season and to get right up there with the Wigan/Wire and Saints/Leeds of the past we've got to start taking our chances and putting banker games to bed.

Granted we've had our fair share of injuries but so too has all the other teams in SL. If we want to move onto the next level and get to where we want to be and are aiming we've got to become acustomed to winning the games we should be winning and winning the tight games against the top clubs week in week out instead of losing out the majority of the them when the backs are against the wall.

We've got the team and squad to realistically win something this year but because our form is so hot and cold I'm now not 100% sure we will have some silverware in the cabinet come Grand final day and could struggle to make the semis this time round!!!

but my view on it is that we are neither consisten or ruthless enough to seriously challenge for silverware, early in the season i would have said we were having destroyed leeds,saints and warrington, but sadly we have never looked like hitting those heights again.
saying that it's been another decent season in our buidling process.

Yep, sure do. We need better than England & England Knight centres.
