Why not though?? They must have spent a few bob on marketing this and with it being on Sky (on a Saturday evening) they will probably end up losing money in a stadium a quarter full (at best).

Surely, Sky can't demand we play on a different day. What happens during the football season if Town had have been at home?

I think that there were plans to get some local junior teams to play as well either before or during half-time (again, to attract parents). How many of these clubs are going to be able to put teams out on a Saturday night??

Just shows Sky's contempt for RL, especially Fartown. Hemmings will be loving it. I booked the Sunday off work, as it stands now I can't make the game. Typical. Will have to juggle workload again.

I imagine part of the terms that clubs agree to for their sky cash handout is that sky can change dates and kick off times at their leisure.

Match attending fans and the inconvenience these things cause will get little if any consideration.

This is so out of order, 12 days notice! I feel for you guys, considering the "homecoming" marketing etc, and the ticket deal etc. I was due to go to Rovers this week and get our tickets, but we won't be coming now as we have plans for Saturday night.

Is there any other sport that would allow tv to screw them over at this notice? I doubt it.

We are a family club who have all our games re arranged so families cannot attend.

My kids have been to hardly any games this season which causes me a lot of hassle as part of my arrangement with my wife is that i can go to away games if i take the kids to home games so she has some rest at a weekend.

I cannot take them to evening KOs.

I will not now be attending this game.

The club are getting royally shafted and need to take it up with the RFL

Why we are going to be on SKY is beyond me as even most of our fans dont want to watch us at the minute let alone the viewing public.

i called this last week and unfortunately i was right, its a bleeding joke and its almost as if they've done this on purpose to pi$$ on the 'homecoming' bonfire !

I thought they had deadlines for making announcements like this, thought it was at least two weeks. Could be worse- think of all the rhinos fans who forked out hundreds to go to Catalan only for sky to change it to a Sunday evening after most people had booked flights home!!
