if Brough could kick goals it wouldnt have been remotely close.

Struggled with the wind a bit, up until that game he has been fairly solid. From the performance today I would say Brough's goal kicking is the least of our worries.

I thought Batley's defence was outstanding for stints today and their big men really stood up to the challenge in the forwards.

Yes Batley played great, but they did not deserve to win as we scored 6 tries to 3. If Brough had converted more try`s the pressure would have been less.
These banana skin matches also make the players a bit nervous and things do not come off as normal.

Also well done to most of the Giants fans who stayed in the ground to applaud the Batley team off, even our players were still on the pitch clapping them off.
I've never seen an opposition get such an ovation in all my time watching Fartown, which to me shows how well they did play !!
