RFL impose £6,000 fine to Richard Agar following rant on Ref James Child. Half suspended until end of season. Charge, breaching league's operational rules and Respect Policy.
Rules are rules at the end of the day and there are correct channels to take. The referees should not have to take any abuse from the coaching staff or players and it is vitally important the RFL keep it that way.
The average game must have 400+ play the balls, 400+ tackles and thats before kicks in play, restarts, offside etc... There must be over a thousand things a referee has to watch during the course of a game - He is bound to make mistakes.
That said, obvious mistakes due to things such as bad positioning, or just being blind should be pursued by the RFL and not just brushed off.
