I remember the guy on the car park trying to charge us as well. Obvious we wouldn't play.the weather got worse and worse as we got further north.
We were under the impression that Alex Murphy got off the bus ,dug his heels into the pitch, and said we're not playing on that,stay on the bus lads.

I can understand that you all have supported the Giants longer than what i have, i am very strong when it comes to my own views and it may come across the wrong way. We all want us to be succesful. So no need for the personal jibes.

we all have stong views on our crowds etc... but i am sure that if people were able to go more often they would..i watched fartown from early seventies till 2007 and when we moved to the mac in 93 i only missed about half a dozen home games in the next 14 years, but maybe only went to a dozen or so away games.. not everbody can go to every game

but some posters on here didnt even turn up tuesday night ... some have valid excuses others not

anyway once again i dont see what the problem is with the crowd is was good imo

and no other fans from other clubs have jumped on this thread and said it was a poor turnout... so just goes to show that it was fine..time to move on!

Every single "excuse" given is valid, its a personal choice, there is no right or wrong, thats the point.

I rarely missed a game when i was a young lad with no ties etc, circumstances change, priorities change, id rather spend some time with my son if it clashes with a Giants game (rarely does) but again thats a personal choice.

People dont have to justify what they do in their spare time



There isnt a problem with the crowd size, decent turnout.

But who are you or anyone else to decide what is a valid excuse



is it lack of money

, working late

, being too tired after been at work

, not having a babysitter

, not wanting to upset the wife


being on holiday

watching your kids playing or reffing another match



ATEOTD, supporters can pick and choose which games they go to. That makes them no better or worse than anyone else.

All teams fans are made up of different groups, the hardcore, the regulars, the occassional fans, the glory hunters. Everyone of them supports the club in their own way.

After the debacle at Crusaders i dont blame some fans for not turning up. It is their choice

id say our 5000 is...

800 hardcore
3000 regulars
1200 occasional

and added to the list of above could be
'couldnt be @rsed to go',
'would rather go watch town monday'
'it was only salford'
'man utd are playing'

and

"after watching that Wrexham display ............................"

Think that could have made a difference personally -to some!

i think its more than that TBH.....we have over 5000 season ticket holders so i cant really see 1200 people forking out all that money just to go to the occasional game......i would imagine majority of our season ticket holders are either hardcore or regular.
