I think it is a bit of a p**s take really, after all the club know the fans will buy them but they are really ripping us off with this latest offering. I like to the give the club some of my hard earned cash, but I do feel like a mug now for buying the shirt which is hugely over priced for what you get. Let's be honest it probably cost 2 quid at most to make and yet they are selling for nearly £50. Now I don't have a problem paying the money, but you need to be getting good value and this shirt is a really pathetic offering. We should write a letter of complaint. Did anyone really have a problem with the weight of the last few seasons shirt's? Surely not.

l think we all share the same view re marketing/merchandizing. During the centenery year l got 30plus people interested in a shirt, l went to the marketing manager, who gave me a home and an away shirt to show, people where l worked, some who had no interest at all in rugby or the Giants bought them, l negotiated a small discount, When l went to collect the shirts, the manager and l were counting out the money, just short of a grand, when ln walked Les Coulter, when he found out about the discount , he tore into the manager right in front of me, l felt really bad,Seems like nothing much has changed.

Agree with a lot of people, quite like the design, but quality is awful, unlike the great Kooga offerings of the last few years which I thought were great. They're having a giraffe with the price too!

Shaun Lunt metioned the yellow - got pulled up for that. Didn't know we were now the Purple and Yellows!

What do you expect from a club that has 4 members of staff in a commercial and marketing department.

Went down there today to collect our season tickets and had a look at the shirt, and the quality compared to previous years looks very poor.

The shirt is expensive anyway but at least the quality was good, not this year, it looks like someone as spray painted the logo's on - sorry I'm not impressed.

i wont be buying it, even if i did like it,i just dont think 47.99 is justified, i have to laugh at people who complain about having to pay so much when the shirt is crap. . dont buy it then!!
i will be wearing my old shirts again until the club produces a decent replica shirt, wouldn't it be great if a retro style claret and gold hooped shirt was brought out rather than the purple/yellow monstrosities we are seeing lately

went to look at club shop merchandise yesterday and the new shirt is a disgrace.

For a club to even accept reciept of these goods is absolutley appauling.

The quality of the kits being sold on the teddy bears is even better than the quality of the shirts being sold for the fans!

I have bought a new shirt every year for the past 10 years but i will NOT be buying the new home shirt unless the quality significantly improves before the season starts.

Lets hope the away shirt is a better quality!

And to top it off a new delivery of shorts had arrived so i asked if I could buy a pair. I was told they were not for sale as they had not been priced up yet!

I left the club shop feeling very angry!

I will buy one ONLY if I can get hold of a PLAYERS VERSION. I hope Richard Thewlis does read this board - we don,t need an on line petition just someone to hopefully realise that the standard of the new shirt is not worth paying nearly £48 or £43 for and to offer a players version of the shirt. Maybe rather than just reading this board it would be nice to know and have some feedback from the club on this one. I hope Mr Davy reads the board or at least someone could inform him that the club will lose sales due to the inferior quality of the product. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the weight of last years shirt nor the year before so why the change.
