good peformance form giants again with such a injury hit squad

for me it was a point gained.i thought overall a draw was the fair result,as daz says we didnt do enough to win the game but again showed fighting spirit to come back again,this time from 12-0 down.
i thought rovers were much the better side in the first half and played with great endeavour,while we, again!, made too many basic unforced errors which possibly cost us the game? i must also congratulate both teams on their discipline,compared to last week i dont think there were more than 6 penalties in the game? certainly i cant remember bentham pinging rovers for offside once or for moving off the mark which they did quite a few times which was good to see from a referee (?)
bu at despite this i thought the end was a superb advert for entertainment and sheer nerve wracking viewing,i went with a mate last night who's a town fan and it was his first game of RL and he couldn't beleive how exciting it was compared to football, and wasn't it great seeing the rovers fans celebrating a rare win over us only to slump in their seats when the MOS booted that point saver over

A penalty try can only be given if the player being fouled would have scored; Hodgeson may have scored had Fox let him land but there was as good a chance that Fox would have tackled him into touch anyway, had he held his nerve. He didn't want to risk it so took the decision to give away a penalty. the only decision the ref could give.
