Quote FOOTBALL fans’ cars were targeted by thieves as they watched Huddersfield Town last night.
Six cars were broken into in the Hillhouse area during Town’s 4-3 victory over Walsall at the Galpharm Stadium.
There has been an ongoing problem with vehicle crime on match days.
Just last week the police issued warnings after 60 break-ins – many on streets around the stadium – in two months.'"
Whilst the article is not entirely relevant to the rugby (you can park in the stadium carparks for £5 on the day) much of the article is.
Anyone coming to the game needs to take simple steps to ensure their are not targeted. Remove everything from show, take valuables with you, park in designated parking spaces and not on the road.
There is a municipal carpark not far from the ground on St Andrews Road where you can park off street for a pound. Parking at the ground is £5 and you are kept back 15 minutes after the final whistle to prevent you running over those walking from the ground.
