Lovely service today and was great to see so many people there. Some emotional speeches and poems but you could see how much people respected the guy.

I heard on Monday about Big Stuart passing away. I met him a few times at various functions in and around Huddersfield. He was a rugby league and Fartown man through and through. he was a real throwback to days gone by and the type of bloke in the game that you can never have too many of. Sadly people like Stuart are becoming fewer and fewer.

He was a smashing bloke who would do anything for anyone. The game is much less well off with his passing. RIP big man.
