Quote: beemaguest "Hello
I am Stuarts' nephew, i would like to thank all the contributors for their kind words, thoughts and the esteem that you all held for him. I was at the game last night to see the Giants win, with my mum (his sister) & my step dad. The silence was so impeccable the only noises were from the birds in & around the stadium.
We were looked after by so many people last night, all with kind words of comfort and condolences. I, like you all are struggling to come to terms with his passing, he was loved by his family who miss him terribly, but we take comfort from the fact that he had an "Extended" family of sorts who were his friends & colleagues, who like his family are also finding his passing a tremendous loss.
Once again thank you for your support & please attend the funeral if you can. You can judge a man not just by his monetary wealth, but in how rich he is with friendship'"
As you can see Guesty (Obviously one of the lads and not Vicky I'm replying to here...), your Uncle Stuart was extremely well thought of and respected, I'm gutted that I couldn't attend last nights game to pay my respects in the minutes silence.
His friends reached far and wide within the world of Rugby League and many got to know him over the years, not just from the club, the Pavillion or the supporters, but also other fans and players from around the world. He was very well loved and respected.
I wouldn't expect a quiet day on Tuesday buddy and I would advise with the greatest of respect, to ask Linda to stick a few extra vol-au-vents on to cope with the extra guests.
Please also accept our personal condolences. Scott & Lisa
