Actually, the slower PTB this season has ruined us. Our whole style of play during Superleague has been built upon speedy PTBs and a scoot out (Roby is excellent at this). One of the reasons we have stumbled this season is because we haven't been able to adjust as well as others to the slower PTBs. And actually we are quite rubbish at holding down. We get pinged for it almost every time we try it. But Potter has clearly worked on Saints since we last played you as we were a lot better at it last weekend than we have been all season. However, with you guys slowing us down and us slowing you guys down, most people found last weekend's match dull. That's what happens when a slower PTB is played. And Huddersfield have become the epitome of slower PTBs because you have adopted it as your trademark this season. Had you not done so, no-one would be referring to you for it. But it's what got you to the semi and to third place in the league. However, I'm not sure you'll be as successful next season because of the number of complaints from coaches about the tactic. Things may speed back up again next season and you'll have to rely more upon your attack play, which Brown has also improved.
Walters seems to be saying that he would like to see more of that attack play rather than the holding down. I don't think he is being at all negative about your team, and he acknowledges that Catalans also wrestle at the ruck. I think he is just reflecting what many coaches and most fans think: that we really don't want the game slowed down as that is making it dull. We want free flowing rugby league, which just doesn't happen when the PTB is as slow as it has been this season.
