Broughy was in talks with huddersfield and has an offer from them. He is also very big mates with kear, contrary to opinion on here re kear banning him for 2 games this season. Danny is more than happy at wakefield/ working under kear. However, as most professional sports people, the shirt doesnt matter and money talks...whichever language you speak.

Wakefield are working on a better deal for danny as he rejected the first offer, saying he was able to get more money elsewhere and after all, it is about providing for his family and looking after his self.

as it stands, brough is still a wakefield player and has had offers from huddersfield, 2 other clubs and is waiting on an improved offer from wakefield.

generally speaking, when a player comes wanting more money than we offer, we, wakefield, tend to give them the rough end of the stick and they end up leaving, so i would expect danny to leave wakefield and i expect his new club to be away from yorkshire & the humber

ATEOD a players career is only short and they have to make enough money to have a comfortable life after their rugby days are over. You can't bag them for wanting to earn as much as possible.

I am afraid the team sheet rumour is true, Danny wont be joining the Giants this year uncle ted wants too much money for him so danny will play his last year at Wakefield and walk away a free agent next year.

absolutely agree, people can say things like "if i were him i wouldnt go" bla bla bla, but if another bloke offered you 150k a year for the next 3 years as a pose to 100k a year for the next 3 years, loyal or not...i think anyone would struggle to turn down the extra 150k
