2010 is now sorted with the appointment of Millward but we are still in dire straights for 2009. We need changes in the squad now, are there any short term loan signings we can make to bolster the squad? If we are stuck with what we have got then we could be doomed to Championship 1 rugby.

Good point. I would be sniffing around super league clubs for some short term loan players just to see us through this year. Wouldnt mind Farrel and price from wigan

I can't see were 12-15 points that we will possibly need to stay up are coming from with current squad, loan players are a must for survival.
Got to beat, Sheffield,Whitehaven,Doncaster and win one of the other games plus a couple of 1 pointers.
The missed points at home games have hit us hard, the Batley and Barrow losses in particular, threw both games away with 15 minutes of pathetic defence.

It may seem like a re-roll reversal, but in my opinion I would re-install Neil Kelly as 1st Team Coach with immediate effect. Over the last few games, PR's lack of emotion / enthusiasm is cause for concern.
At the Gateshead match, seeing him just sat at the back of the dug-out looking dis-interested while Steve McCormack was organising his team constantly from the sidelines speaks volumes. Even Neil Kelly was holding his head in his hands with that display.

But as coach / manager, it is his job to get the best out of those tools, maintain performance and take them tools to another level!!
I think people are going OTT regarding the amount of games needed to win to stave off relegation.
I feel 10-12 points will probably do it.
Either way, if we go down, we go down. We was in far a worse position when Ian last taken over the reigns. His appointment might just give us the spark we need, because on paper, we are on of the better Championship sides.

Steve Mac was sat up in the East Stand near the TV camera and ony went to the bench with a few minutes left. |
