Well, well. Barrow did very nearly again prove the fly in the ointment but Ridy’s decisive DG proved that DB wants a trip to Wombley. Still, a Leigh win and Comics vs Chemics at LSV in the semi on July 28 (anybody can’t make it, there’s a live stream of both semis via Our League). Five points for everyone for [ihors d’ouevres[/i. But because Old Barrovia were close to catching Leigh with their flies down, four of The Walkers caught themselves in their zip and were outside the buffer zone of 25. Charlie closest.
Doncaster also came very close to upsetting the apple-cart and were close to reddening the face of one Mr Bongser yet again. Alas, close but ‘twas not to be! 8 of 9 called it correctly (Charlie again closest). “Dare to be Different” Atomic dared again!
The tie that really put the bull in the china shop though was York vs Batley. 8 out of 9 called it this time incorrectly. “Dare to be Different” dared again and “Who Dares Wins”. ‘Tommers closest of course.

Right, let’s get the controversy out of the way first. Wanderer did not submit his punts but tells us in a very polite apologia from his Appol (?) laptop, that he had techno failure on his ‘phone. Those with reasonable medium term memory will realise why Bongser might sympathise with this. Nul points, Wanderer (too bad, so sad as La Jeunesse says) BUT, as you posted your regrets whilst the matches were still in progress, you will be awarded your attendance joker fraction.
As per Rule letter waddevah (Bongser really must bookmark page 61 of this thread that he might apply his own rules correctly), this decision is (however misguided) final.
As it happens, Don Juan, Bongser zilched out on Uncle Rico’s Wire prediction league.
