I think Fax signed Marcus St Hillaire and he played a pre season game before buggering off to Bradford.

Then not to mention the non signings of Micky Higham, Heremeia(sp), and Tea Ropati.

The Halifax conduct in the Micky Higham saga was laughable.

When 'signing' Micky from Leigh they did not value him very highly at all and offered Leigh no more than £2,000.

A couple of weeks later they were suddenly chasing St.Helens for over £100,000 in compensation

I think we did the same for Donlan and Rowley though earlier. Got a cracking deal there both went on to be fantastic players for Fax and Rolo the best hooker I have seen play for us.

PS Dont think AH was the player in question though.

I think you might be right but there was a story behind the Donlan signing as well wasnt there? Think it might have been Donlan we offered 2K for.

It was Baldwin and Rowley in 1994(?) when the club was on it's backside and no doubt will have taken any possible bid. Donlan signed at the end of the 2000 season.

Fax may have sold Barlow to Leigh because fax didn;t wan thim to come to fev full time. But Barlow has signed nothing.

Before the loan to fev he told Rowley he would be interested in signing for Leigh but heard nothing else until he announced it on Sunday.

As long as Barlow hasn't signed anything then any deal between Fax and Leigh is worthless

Im sure someone from Leigh on here can confirm that the contract had Sam`s signature on it.



By all accounts the Leigh deal was done and dusted before Fax decided to release him on loan to Fev. Fev never had an option on signing him.

Dont be too easily taken in by someone who has been a house too often.

It was stated on here the contract was already with the rfl. If indeed SB is going to cause problems with this then I hope any monies or players do not go to Fax. He is still a fax player at the moment isn't he?

Yeah still a year left on his contract, obviously one way or another Barlow and Leigh have broken that contract, theres really no going back on it. Obviously Im not saying that Fax didnt give permission for that to happen, thats between the two teams and I would be very surprised if the people at Leigh overlooked the fact that he was still under contract.
