| well Crompton was a shoe in until he told Despot Des that he woulodnt want any help in picking or coaching the team then the interview went away from Crompton somewhat 
as for Schofield well he's been 'bleating' for the past 5 or so years about not getting a chance well the balls in his court now |

Can't see Garry Schofield succeeding. Reckon our league will be very tight this year though, on paper I can't see much between Leigh, Fax, Widnes and Fev.

Didn't really make much sense this Frank but wanted to pick you up on something. Widnes did not move Paul Cullen upstairs, Paul spoke to the club when he returned from compassionate leave to express his concern that he didn't want the pressure of coaching for the forseeable future after a very tough year. Widnes accepted this request but wanted to keep Paul at the club due to what he can offer.
For what it's worth, Widnes have employed a knowledgeable, English coach with alot of potential. Reports from Gloucester is that they didn't want to lose him, so I'm very pleased. Of course he's not won anything, he needs the chance first. |

This is boring now, I guess Leigh without Thomas would be well as in an average place as you are now?
Best supported and biggest name in the division yet we are the ones at risk without a backer? Think it through for petes sake it's laughable!
No one will say we wouldn't be where we are now without SO'C but to act like Widnes would be in a mess whereas other clubs would be fine is just stupid! |
