| Quick note on Jimmy Taylor by the way, thought he took the ball with a lot more aggression than usual which is a huge improvement from what was previously a weakness of his. Put in some mighty bone rattling tackles as well.

Jimmy is playing a different game altogether so far this season, always been a good tackler but he's improved his technique to avoid getting himself injured and although he's always been a willing ball carrier it died once that he got it, he's built himself up and now able to stand more in the tackle and looking round to keep the ball going. All in all good to see, a much more rounded player not just a tackling machine

| agreed JT had a good game last night Higson also put in some storming tackles.
charlie caroli you must watch a diferant game to me Hobson is a turnstile and creates so much work for others around him. you get about 2 good drives from him then he is knackered cant attack and most certainly cant defend better props in NL2 in my opinion of course. Watch him next time he plays closley and im sure you will agree with me in the end
Also can anyone remember the last time stewert played and didnt give a penalty for lying on????

| Absolutly superb performance. Obviously in defence we were immense all over the park and espescially on our own line. I thought we looked very good in attack - people attacking the line at speed and hitting good angles. Higson and Wingfield two very strong wide runners who punch holes in defences.
As already been said Taylor and the other forwards took the ball up well (Hobson included) we just couldn't see enough of the ball in the right places to move it around and get some backs onto it. If we play anywhere near that standard week in week out we'll be a force in this league.
Most importantly I saw last night for the first time in along time a proper meaningful team spirit amongst the team. Even when Hobson and Stewart were off you had the sense they didn't want to concede for their teammates. Great to watch and I think it showed as every Leigh fan stayed til the players left the pitch... hopefully Kelly can keep they're heads up and they each actually realize what an immense effort last night was.

However, biased fans?? I am as objective a bloke as you'll get. In the first half I was stood on the railway end that Leigh were attacking. Everytime Leigh had the ball it was "Gerrem back ref", "let im up them" "head high" etc. When Fev had the ball - the comments were NO DIFFERENT from Fev fans. It happens everywhere - all the time!
We (all RL fans) by nature are very paraochial and insular in our approach to the game and our club, and tend to see the failings of the opposition and ignore the misgivings of our own team. I'm now in my 36th season and at 48 years old, have well grown out of points scoring against opposition fans.
I honestly believe we are all very similar at games and over my many years have not experienced a massive difference in any set attitudinally.

| You won't get anyone as one eyed & biased as a Leigh fan.
Regardless of the refs performance, we DO give away far too many pens and have done for many years. Our poor discipline has been our downfall many a match that we could/should have won.

I dont agree, i have already stated Leigh probably deserved to edge it but Leigh were on the rack for very long periods in that game. When you are under so much pressure it gets to you eventually and the result is you start to give penalties away, laying on off side etc especially when they were down to 11 men. As Rotherham fev fan stated im not interested in points scoring just say what i see and i dont think the ref influenced the outcome of that game because the sending off and sin bin were warranted

Were there any occasions when slow play the balls by yourselves went unpunished...... IMO whenever a game takes place both sides are as bad as each other with regards infringements around the ptb. Now whether the ref polices it correctly is open to debate and dependent on who is on the wrong side of a lobsided penalty count.
