Seriously the LSV/club/caterers/O'Neills should definitely have got together & done summat for St George's Day - even just summat like a free drink voucher on the gate for anybody who turns up wearing a St-George-flag-style England RL shirt, or bringing a St George flag with them. Even a St-George-Illawarra shirt is still red & white. Get a few cheap gimmicky St George T-shirts, hats & flags made up by O'Neills on sale inside the ground or given out by Arty (can't be expensive to do looking at all the stuff that comes out of breweries for Paddy's day) & it would have been full of red & white, and all live on Sky for the RL world to see.....
Sorry, I forgot - offers & incentives aren't the club's problem any more. Fans wearing club colours isn't the LSV's problem. Caterers will deny any responsibility for merchandising inside the ground and O'Neills will say they have nothing to do with free drinks or even (as an Irish company) celebrating St George's day. Everybody looks at each other and another opportunity slips by while Sky beam footage of the passing tumbleweeds direct to Red Hall.
