Sad news. He said he came to Leigh to try & fall in love with the game again so it's a real shame he hasn't been able to. However with his well documented issues, constant reoccurring injuries every time he recovers picking up another one and people desperate for him to fail you can understand why he's said "Sod this." A real shame as undoubtedly a fantastic player. All the best for whatever you do in the future Rangi, the majority of Leigh fans did & do wish you well.

There's been many sportsmen who haven't fulfilled huge potential and in many cases had issues around that. My own failures are not well known and I dread to think what would have happened if they were.

The signing night at LSV I said 2 a mate he had mental health problems. I had been there after suffering a nervous breakdown for 6 years about 40 years ago. Good luck 2 the lad.

His problems were well known, imo we should not of signed him. Hope he gets help obviously, but at least he wont be using up our valuable salary cap.

Ironically this is "mental health awareness week" I hope any player who needs help or reassurance gets it
