Quote: Tipster Ste "Once out of 27 years did Utd produce 4/5 top quality youth team players. So when you add in Falcao at £50m your 30m short of Man City but you don't buy the title. Your a good RL MAN budge but sound like a typical Utd fan.

For the record my clubs my local team BWFC, just like in RL I chose my local footy team!'"

I'm only an armchair Red Ste....but i am so glad you're not a City fan icon_biggrin.gif
I actually support Hartlepool United, and watch Hamilton Accies whenever I am up in Glasgow. Not watched United since 1984.
I agree though, the premier league is ALL about money though, nice to see Southampton doing well, who have sold most of their best players.
Let's hope Bolton & Hartlepool don't get relegated.... icon_biggrin.gifEPRESSED:

Leeds come across like they are unwilling to pay for Brierley (when he still has two years left of his contract) so they are trying their best to unsettle him and turn US into the bad guys for 'holding him back' etc etc. If they are that interested they will make a bid and try to buy him, if all they are willing to do is try and force us into letting him go for free then they obviously aren't as interested as they claim.

Totally unprofessional from Leeds.

The YEP article is, at best, lazy journalism! Nowhere is the article does it suggest that Ryans 'wants away'. What it DOES say though is that Gary Hetherington says he has NO interest in signing him.

As it stands currently we start Full Time Rugby training on Monday morning with the same bunch of lads who are currently sat in a meeting with the Board!

United's list is endless pal. And but for Sheik Mansoor you'd still be in League One. City still hold the record for money spent in a 'transfer window' asides from anything else.

# Net Spend last 5 Years for Premiership Clubs

1 Chelsea £471,609,000
2 Manchester City £439,450,000
3 Manchester United £356,300,000
4 Liverpool £351,950,000
5 Arsenal £244,525,000
6 Tottenham £223,650,000

Over to you, Stephen !
Very typical Utd fan, never goes and gets most facts from the Utd/Scouse loving media.Utd have always been the biggest spenders since the Premiership clubs like City and Chelsea had to spend over a short period of time to catch up. Utd have broken the British transfer record more than any club over the last 30 years, and this year how any Utd fan can have a go at Citys spending is beyond belief.

Utds defence on Sunday's Derby cost 3 or 4 times what Citys back 4 did,Luke Shaw alone was twice as expensive as Zaba and Kompany, good value there.

This insistance on Net Sales kills me as well take out Ronaldo and Suarez/Torres and it looks a bit different, the argument is on spending for success remember.

Also City were doing OK before the Sheik came in and would not of been in the Championship.

Anyway we all love Leigh and thats all that matters eusa_angel.gif

Who is the other player we have allegedly iligally approached. Re Breirley sounds like his agent doing the approaching. Isn't he trying to negotiate another deal at Leigh for Breirley

Nailed it.

Of course I'm assuming that our Head of Rugby has dispensed the truth with his comments.

Love rl article states brierley agent contacted leeds to say ryan wanted to join leeds. But leeds say they have enough half backs. I dont know what on earth is going on, maybe its ryans agent just trying to get a better deal for his client.

Just couldn't see that. Brierley yes I could understand, but Barlow couldn't see Leeds being interested in him. I assumed (and prayed!) that was just made up rubbish
