| Quote: Tipster Ste "Personally don't mind Fridays but if it's going to be Fridays make them all Fridays!!
This fixture list reminds you how cr@p this league is, you could get the marketing genius from the top 5 brands in the world and it would be a miracle if he got season ticket sales into 3 figures with this list and price structure,
Oh and after 22nd June we have two guaranteed home games until the next bout of boxing day friendlies, how is anyone supposed to survive off that?'"
This might be naive ste but with that info should the club watch the finances a bit more earlier in the season?.

Evolve or die it's that simple, a different day has to be tried, I bet the players and coaching staff won't complain.

| Now how can I be right then you mention Tuesdays? or would that be an attempt (a rather bad one at that) at sarcasm (they do say it's the lowest form of wit)? and why should you care anyway I thought you wouldn't be going at anytime.

| Now how can a 'club' lie? a person can but not an organisation.
A true fan will go no matter what the time or day (if they can), but to throw the toys out of the pram, it's laughable.

| First went to Kirkhall Lane in 1957, last went to LSV 2011.
Bitterly disapointed with the Friday night decision and not even Toulouse away in 2012.
It's easy to loose spectators but very hard to get them back - just look around the pubs on a match day, how many ex fans are there willing to critise but not go despite last seasons success. Looks like the only thing to increase next season will be the ex fans.
P1ssed off with it. Totally p1ssed off with it but at least I will save a grand by not going home or away.

| I really can't believe the slagging off you set of supporters are giving Swinton due to the fixture release. Ranging from they will have gone bust to there support is minimal( which we know and is due to years of being nomadic) to we arn't going to go to attend any swinton games on a Sunday.
Pathetic.!!
Firstly I think you should get the CEO at Leigh to answer the question as to why Friday was given as your playing day/night, I am fairly certain it would have nothing to do with the rugby league or anyone else wanting to help Swinton, after all where was the rugby league when we lost our own ground all those years ago.
Secondly as a rugby league fan I have often ventured to Leigh when the lions wern't at home as Salford apart they are my next nearest club, I go not to pledge my undying love to Leigh but to watch a good game and enjoy what was a good atmosphere at the old Hilton park.
The real fans amongst you will hopefully have the same mindset, those that don't , it's no skin off anyones noses but please don't lay the blame at the feet of a club who has every right to be there after signing a tennancy agreement and paying rent.

I have no doubt that Swinton are not the reason for us playing on Fridays , but why the RFL would have 2 clubs playing at the same stadium on the same weekend in the same competition is a mystery , how hard can it be to have one club at home opposite weeks ?

That's fine, but the questions that need answering are: When was this decision made? and Why were fans told home games would be on Sundays?
The 2nd of those seems to be the one that has got most people's backs up.

sorry for being a THICKO oh so mighty one
yes mmmm lets see ?
majority of the people who are angered by the change possibly pay into L.I.S.A and have possibly been to every sunday game, and possibly been able to bring an extra member to games and possibly contributed to the new LEIGH that mr barton as informed everyone that we the fans are paramount to its survival.
The question is WHY DID MR FREER TELL ALL ATTENDING LEIGH FANS THAT GAMES WOULD BE PLAYED ON A SUNDAY. and to answer a previous post by yourself this is not deemed a lie but factual from an existing board member.
LETS DO A POLL?
FANS ATTENDING FRIDAY/SUNDAY i will go when i am able but only on a game to game basis instead of a touchdown package/season ticket.
strange boardroom decision, saying we are already down on budget this year due to circumstances. I hope the gamble pays off but unfortunately i work most fridays, but for 20+ years i have given my support to leigh and sadly thats where my contribution seems to have been made for me.

| Right - decision made, nowt we can do about it.
Its our luvvin club and we need to get fans on the decision making process if we are ever to become a 'community' club run for and by the fans. I understood LISA needed £20k for a share and multiples of thereafter - surely thats been achieved already with 4 players covered - 'Get Dick on the Board Campaign' starts here.
Remember the club is still in the sheeite, so although many will find this decision very hard to stomache, we need the club to be here next year to ensure they revert back to Sundays.
I will not be renewing my ST but will attend when I can - the difference I will pay into LISA. This way I can make my point but still help the club in its hour of need.
