phew..just back from the game..I can't say we really deserved to win. Full credit to Doncaster - played very solidly for 80 minutes and can be proud of themselves and their fans as well.

Their kicking game tore us to shreds and it was only a run on the opposite wing by Nanyn mid way through the second half that really seemed to fire us up..

How McConnell got Mom Is beyond me - Nanyn got my vote. Good strength from Leuilai to score his try. Mort showed some passion after his try which was good to see. Some good strong runs from Castle also.

On the plus side, Doncaster will be no pushover for Gateshead if they continue like this and improve with each game played..

P.S. I only got to watch the game as my flight back to Toronto today with Thomas Cook was overbooked and despite paying extra for a reserved seat I couldnt get on- so I am now flying out tomorow. I was really in two minds whether to put myself through this "bonus" game - but I suppose old habits die hard and I just had to be there. I was seriously questioning my judgement at 10 points down! I suppose it was better than the Barrow game!!!!

Shame he doesn't know how to pass to his centre. Nanyn almost threw his headgaurd into the stand a one point in frustration with him.

We really do need to get the ball to Nanyn more in my opinion.

Tried to be patient with him because he is Leigh through and through, but that was one of the worst defensive games for a full back I have seen at this level for some time. His reading of the game when defending is abysmal - the second (and third maybe) summed him up - 20yards away from where he should be. And what he was playing at right at the end is beyond me, must have had 30 yards start on the donny player and realised just in time he was in the Sh!t

Agreed. Not been offered a contract by the club because of his defensive frailties this season and did himself no favours today with a lack lustre display that cost us at least one try when caught out of position. Donny kept trying that little chip over the defensive line that kept catching him out. Better teams would have made us pay with this play.

couldnt agree more..Nanyn was the best player on the pitch by a mile.
Also agree that Mort was crap..their kicking ripped us to shreds..
