| I went today and the first observation is that the Leigh half backs are so under achieving, their performances are actually bordering on appalling.
This is the first thing that needs to be sorted. By contrast Rochdale's 7, young Danny Yates, was outstanding, marshalling his troops superbly and dictating play. A classy player, MOM for me. Purtil coached him at St.Helens. I would be happy if he offered swap either of our 6 or 7 for him.
Second observation is that we do not have enough players possesing the passion and desire who are prepared to graft from minute 1 to minute 80. Only Harrison Hanson immediately springs to mind. Poor situation.
Third observation is that we are carrying a lot of dead wood, reflective in a team 6th in the Championship. There is no point sugar coating it. The director of rugby surely has some explaining to do.
Clare, Burr, Vea, Drinkwater Vs Dawson, Lovett, Laroyer, Hutchison.
All the former wanted to stay but were told they were surplus to requirements alongside McNally and Ridyard.
I am not sure of the merits of sending out Jack Blagborough on loan all season, whilst retaining Richards in the squad either. Blagborough seems to have more in his locker but that may just be me, and not everyone else's view.
Yes, it was a win, with a late late flurry that give us a 22 point victory margin. It flattered us.
A 22 point win, where the performance made it feel like a defeat.
The table does not lie.

| Bottom line is if we miss the 8s we are in a tough position next season. You need players invested in the club and we let to many go who were. So of theses may become but some not. Whatever our budget next year lets hope we make the right choices. Would get a scrum half and prop for mid 8s if we make it.

| Agreed, as we haven't had an actual scrum half all season. Just a 6' 2" utility back.

You mean Greg Richards who you was praising when we first signed him.

You mean the guy selected at 7 for the NRL, his record suggests he is far too good for this level. We made some bad choices but I don't think he is one of them

Nice to have you back, Cokey. Can't find a suitable smiley. Let's try :raised_eyebrow:
G'dang it. Just previewed it and it doesn't work.
But you get the point.

| Brian Noble hinted on TV tonight that the Toronto team that takes to the field against Fev in their last game will be basically an inexperienced side, giving the fringe players and young Canadian a chance.
Can see them throwing this, just like HKR did at Fax last year, so Rovers wouldn't have to go to Toulouse in the 8,s.

How he gets the nod before some of our other forwards chomping at the bit, I find baffling!

| Looks like your best hope might be Fax beating London then London beating Fev, both unlikely results to be honest. DB might have to dig a bit deeper in the off season.

Yes, the guy currently costing us over £2k a week in wages, who is hardly setting the Championship alight.
Performances indicate he is a very expensive bad choice, who either has not fully recovered from his injury or doesn't want to be here.
£100k a year off our club is not proving to be money well spent to me. Is it to you?

He had youth on his side and clocked up quite a few SL minutes of action behind him.
However his development, down in the Championship has not progressed to the level that I had anticipated at this stage, over 12 months since signing him, despite still being young.
Has it to you .?

| A result that makes it even less likely that we'll make the top 4, essentially handing Featherstone an extra point because we're not going to overturn their points difference. Wins for London and Toulouse today will effectively end our chances.
Didn't go to the game today, but can hazard a guess at what happened. Take a lead, then switch off, in exactly the same way as we did Halifax at home, Featherstone away and countless other matches where we've let a team back into a a game that we've been in control of, which is why our points difference is so far behind London, Toulouse and Fev. Not sure why they keep doing it, something rotten at the core of their attitude sadly.
I'd also take a guess that we had at least three sets that we ended by being tackled on the last near their line, without any thought of forcing a repeat set, or even putting any pressure on them at all. Hutchison was a gamble that has ultimately failed, despite the promise that he's shown at times.

| We don’t make Top 4 I honestly think DB will pull the plug he nearly pulled it half way through season so no Top 4 he will most certainly walk just like 2005. We should of been putting 50-60 with very little reply yesterday it’s not good enough think we left to much to do hope I’m wrong I really do

The priority is 32 points! Two to go. Don’t worry about us, that’s in the bag.
