Say what you want but Derek Beaumont is a rich man, a very passionate Leigh Supporter who wants to see Leigh back where they belong. He has (and is continuing) to pump a lot of his personal hard earned into Leigh.

A lot more than most on here have who have equally enjoyed the last 2 years Derek has helped to pay for. Get off the mans back.

Of course we could go back to life without any part of Derek's involvement. Getting annihilated by over 60 points at Halifax a couple of years ago with no money to pay the players.

That will be no concern to most on here. As it will only be the likes of myself , Demon, Alan and Tipster back to witness it all again.

The rest will be back to being Wigan fans or sat in the pub watching association football and waiting for the Leigh result to laugh at.

Makes my blood boil as to why the club as not issued any statement.That is unless the clubs legal representative is taking out an injunction or some other legal procedure to assatain if ryan can just give 4 weeks notice without breaking his contract

Even if that's the case, he wants out and his position is untenable and we should let him go. The annoying thing is, if he wanted to leave, we could've accepted a bid for him the other week. Did the player make it clear that he wanted to leave?

Or it's not true, in which case you could've expected a denial by club and player by now.

I'll take this 'crisis' whilst watching ex Internationals with us still standing an excellent chance of promotion (something that didn't even exist for many years)over the I wonder if the club still exist ones we are more used to.

Ha ha now don't be silly now Cokey. I think everybody knows what would happen if we met in a competitive game. Gifting Leigh their pre-season cup final against our reserves is tradition now. Call it doing our bit for care in the community

Totally agree with that Fev Fan. We have a lot to be great full for when Paul was our coach. I really don't want to know why Paul left as it is what it is, but I personally cannot bring myself to disrespect the man. I can't do the same to Derek either. It's the club that I support not a single player or staff or member. Both those gentlemen and one of their dads has done a fantastic job for my club and they still have my utmost respect.

Paul was fantastic for us, both in times of adversity & in times of success which in my opinion is the measure of a good coach. I was very disappointed to see him go &had utter respect for him. However comments since from both sides, Paul's unprovoked man of honour & principles speech & the news he's potentially been trying to tap up our players mean I'm rapidly losing that respect for him. He's in the past & it'd be far better for everyone for everyone to move on.

Always find it odd that some opposition fans read a few out of context comments from Derek in the paper & decide he's the devil incarnate. Listen to what he actually has to say on LCTV & in person at LISA meetings & Q&A sessions and it's clear what passion & determination he has to make Leigh great again. Derek is brilliant for Leigh, every Championship club needs a Derek Beaumont, a determined committed fan willing to put the money, time & effort in. Hope we win promotion & I genuinely hope that businessmen in other towns with Championship clubs take notice of what Derek's done & do the same for their town's club.
