I go in the west stand with my kids, thought the NORTH STAND was awesome, but I have no idea why they still sing about the IRA.

There's loads of Kop ends, the one at Anfield is just one of the more famous examples.

Cheers, even though Salford did not bring as many as what they anticipated it was still a great crowd, especially for a cup game, wouldn't mind betting there was more there than at both of today's SL games

As for the North Stand being quiet, we had difficulty hearing each other speak in the West Stand, because of the racket from the North Standers. If you ask me, I think all that din should be banned - it's as anti-social as smoking in the stadium!
