John everyone is feeling down after last nights game , but we had a full pack missing , im very optimistic about next season , ive said before we need about 3-4 X Factor players , and we could have them , maybe another big prop is needed , but a fully side next year , will be great , i think Brierley must get more game time , and roll on Penkys Debut .

| Would love to see McNally start at HB with Ridyard and Pownall move to FB and Brierley as a impact player from bench (but coming on earlier).
Maden to centre,Littler to 2nd row and Gardner to LF..........Higson to partner Maden in centres. We need 2 big fast wingers also but if not use Clay and Deano there as I feel they`ve been wasted this season due to not gettin picked.
Hargreaves as announced his retirement but I remember reading around 4 weeks back that he wanted to go part time in the championship next season (worth as shot).
Reardon is wanting a deal in the Championship next season also PLUS there is all the players who the SL clubs release due to scraping the U21`s...........plenty options out there to make our squad a lot better if we sign the right players.

James was there watching last night, and stood in the dugout at the end.
I feel sorry for him. He didn't want to leave in ther first place, and was then totally shafted by the selfishness of HKR, that deprived him of any first team rugby for the last couple of months of the season!

| Can I just say this in all honesty and without any slight on Gregs season. I would have loved our full back to have clattered a winger into touch instead of walking accross and looking at other people - who were chasing the runner - as if they were at fault. Maybe Greg should be played at half back then. That is my thought having looked at our last six matches. No malice intended. don't think I have any mailce left after 4 Amigos. 2 large reds and a lot of ranting at Thaler. Cats and Leigh are really in Cummingses bad books aren't they. Maybe it's the system but the vid ref could have helped Ben a bit tonight.

In a perfect world, knickers wouldn't begin with a k!: |
|
| start pownall at fullback. mcnally is dodgy under the high ball, always gives it to maden/pownall to return and constantly moans to the ref.

| Really?
Do you realise he does this and then moves to acting half back to give himself a look in case there's some broken defence like Tomkins and Slater do?
I can't remember him dropping a high ball for ages, maybe the Leeds game.
On Brierley going there, I get what people are saying and they have seen how Tomkins rips teams apart being a HB come FB, but if I was an opposition coach and he was at 1, i'd put a massive bomb up in the first minute and get my prop to smash him. I think that would be experiement over.

| Whilst I agree with you about McNally Jonny I do not agree with you about Ryan.
He played fullback at Sheffield last season I recall and did a try saving tackle on Menzies Yere.
In the league above us when Tomkins is playing for the Pies I don't think opposition coaches put up high bombs to him and get props to smash him too often.
Ryan does not need wrapping up in cotton wool imo.

And if i recall correctly Ryan had a terrific game at Sheffield from full back Frank.

| But Tomkins is getting found out under the bomb now, watch what Sinfield does at the weekend to him, same as he did in the challenge cup semi and what Thurston/Lockyer did to him in the winter.
I really do understand where people are coming from with playing him there, and i'm not saying hit him hard because of his size, i'd hit him hard and bomb the hell out of him because he's not a natural full back. One mistake and is confidence would be shot.
