To add I doubt anyone who would have put as much time and effort in as Mr Thomas would have left you in trouble and I'd bet had you covered too the end of the season at least

Can't see anyone 'waiting in the wings' or else it would have been announced as a 'package'.

There is no one as it stands,(I know because I asked a director) .....however in our favour is the excellant facilities we have, brilliant coach and best players in the league, hope this atrracts someone soon.

Hope that we do get someone in soon , uncertain times for us , but certainly a great advertisement for a new chairman / backer to come in , Top of the League , Coach with a proven record , a team that are playing with as much passion as they can muster , state of the art stadium and facilities and if we can win a couple of pieces of silverware this season we'll be ticking as many boxes as the RFL can throw at us

It's a shame he didn't hang on until the end of the season before pulling out. We may have been in a position to entice someone to invest. As it stands we have won nowt and haven't ticked any SL boxes so we are less of an attractive proposition to any potential investors.

Personal issues ?

Having only spoken to those close to him and not directly to Mark yet, I'm reluctant to post reasons on a forum. Dirty linnen in public n'all that. and even then, I'd be hesitant at posting anything that could damage the club.
Safe to say, I believe it's more of an an internal matter and absolutely nowt to do with policy direction of the game/RFL etc.
I hope he re-considers.

Fair enuf

We rely too much on such people. Dez, Mark and your chair etc - without their cash, the club has to downsize their costs!
Unless our clubs can build up the crowd sizes significantly so, I'm afraid some players who can't get gigs in SL will find the financial reality that is biting everybody else's @r_se, will start to have a nibble of theirs.
Fax have reduced their costs this year. Dez's pockets do have bottoms to them - despite the popular misconception.
We may have to trim next term as I suspect Leigh will.
