I think this really sums it all up.



After hearing that many cities did not want to offend other cultures by putting up Christmas lights, so we DIDN'T!

After hearing that theBirminghamCouncil changed its opinion -- and let a Muslim woman have her picture on her driver's licence with her face COVERED.



After hearing of a Primary School inBirmingham, where a boy was told that for PE they could wear Football League shirts -- Aston Villa,Birmingham,West Brom, etc, but NOT an Englandshirt, as it could offend others !



This prompted the editorial below, written by a UKcitizen, and published in a British tabloid newspaper:


IMMIGRANTS, NOT BRITONS, MUST ADAPT.

Take it or leave it.

I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks onLondon , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Brits.

However, the dust from the attacks has barely settled, and the 'politically correct' crowd begin complaining about the possibility that our patriotism is offending others.

I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming toBritain.

However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand.

This idea ofEngland being a multicultural centre for community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity.

As Britons, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of wars, struggles, trials and victories, fought by the untold masses of men and women who laid down their lives, and of the millions of men and women who have sought freedom.

We speakENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the English language!

If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.

If St George'sCross offends you, then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet.




We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change -- and we really don't care how you did things where you came from.



This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this.



But once you are done complaining, whining and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our National Motto, or Our Way of Life, then I encourage you take advantage of one other great British freedom -- THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.



We didn't force you to come here.

If you don't like it, GO HOME!!



You asked to be here.

So accept the country that accepted YOU.

Pretty easy really, when you think about it.

So the answer is to turn the other cheek when you see a mate get glassed, another hospitalised after taking a kicking by half a dozen of the braindead thugs, and when you personally have been CS gassed by the s?

Get a grip. They started it, they can learn to take it.

Scroungers and the good for nothing, those playing the system and those who feel they need to work for pitiful amounts to live, driving down wages for all - this all needs to be sorted - but not for one moment does it matter where these people come from.

The BNP are not going to work for you, they're going to work against the people they hate. They're Nazi's, and if you want us to follow the same path as Nazi Germany then support the BNP.

If they get in to power then what happens when the genocide and riots pass, the 'foreigners' are gone, but the problems remain - who do we blame next?

Well something needs to be done about all these foreigners.

I live next door to a load of them and I've had the envorionmental health round 2 or 3 times in the past 6-12 months. They do nothing all day, play the system for all they can and never lift a finger, don't pay tax, national insurance etc.

I've got nothing against foreigners coming here and getting a job and fitting in but people like those next door to me make me sick. I work a 40 hour week to make ends meet and they get everything paid for them.

Something has got to give.

Yes, but they do make lovely food and they do like their music?

I was referring to the problems of beating up BNP members, and you seemed to condone it. Which is wrong, and makes people as bad as they are - violence breeding hatred etc.
What you seem now to say is different. More to do with self defence against pure thugs. Doesn't matter about them being supporters of BNP in that situation.

No one is saying that to question immigration policy makes you racist. The BNP 'bring these issues to the dinner table' because they want to prey on peoples concerns over employment, the economy, erosion of British culture (whatever that is!), etc to peddle there own, racist, agenda.

Not sure there Walt to be truthful. Read through the thread and there are some who appear to equate questioning these policies and concerns, (whilst also wanting to stand up for the local populus) with ignorance, idiocy, and racism.

There are many quotes; to paraphrase 'those who agree with the BNP are racist idiots'. 4

I voted Labour last time, but I don't agree with some of their polices either.
