When this partnership idea was first trailed I thought it would be just the younger players. Now it seems it is every player of a NON RELEGATION CLUB.

It is absolutely criminal that this should be allowed.

I am sorry to say it but the people who run the game ie NON RELEGATION CLUB Chairman should be ashamed of themselves.

Leigh's Board of directors need to make a public statement condeming this outrageous development.

You could argue that it takes more guts to tell the RFL what they think though.

Id like to see us ,Fev, Fax, Barrow and Sheffield issue a joint statement over it and also get together and take it up with the RFL.
Just think if one of these clubs were to get relegated. Its a long shot but could happen, how would we feel if we needed to win the last game Dewsbury at home and they played half of Bradford's first team and we lost. Its a total farce, and needs sorting out.

I don't think it is a long shot, I think it's a very real possibility that one of those teams could be relegated because those cheating the system will obviously bring out the big guns every time they play us and we could end up with a league turned on it's head.

If the clubs wishing to retain an identity aren't engaged in an expanded FT structure we should break away, attracting other clubs with more to lose should we do so.

And even more to then tell the world you have done so

Our sport was built on straight talking , not politically correct ' fawning ' over idiots like Mr Wood and Rimmer , sooner or later it will be time to stand up and be counted , the sooner it happens , the sooner changes will happen and the less damage will be done , because if they wait too long , it will be too late , and then our proposed ' partnership ' which was exactly the same as the twinning others have done , will be all that is left

Who's 'brown - nosing', or 'not rocking the boat'? I merely put a fact into the debate. And if we talk about 'standing up to be counted', what do you do, stand up to the guys you mention, (as I suggested Leigh have done) or just post a statement on your website? Things are more likely to change, by confronting the 'powers that be' than posting on the internet. Our proposed 'patnership' was not what many others have done - it involved young players and the youth of the Borough. I'm not saying I agree with Dual registrations, or twinning, by the way - if we had more cash, I'd much rather keep things 'in house'.

You ' suggested ' a fact on an Internet Forum , different to the club publishing it , and that is what I mean by not ' rocking the boat ' , a quiet word in their ear means nothing to them , its publicly stating they are wrong that they dont like , it is only when the majority do that we will see them taking the lower tiers seriously

As for the ' partnership ' , well I will bow to your knowledge , however when it was announced the ' twinnings ' weren't as they currently are , there had been no mention of the loosening of the age restriction , just that the numbers were 5 from 8 , we were looking at 5 from 5 , not drastically different IMO

As for more cash , well until a plan is put in place to generate more cash , apart from WMBC , then nothing will get any better

Just differing opinions on how things can be best achieved. It would be pretty boring, (and highly unusual) if everyone agreed about everything.
