You were not unlucky. You could not sustain things for the full 80 minutes. Hardly controlled aggression with your disciplinary record. The standards set in the last two years were in the main against less able opposition and therefore cannot be used as a yardstick when looking at your prospects in the Qualifiers. You are still believing the hype rather than the facts and the results of your 5 matches so far. You may yet get into the million pound game and even win promotion. Your performances so far to not suggest that this is likely.

Keith you are the last one to be commenting on our disciplinary record.Have you taken alook at KR's for the season? What's the reason you're in this qualifiers? Does it have anything to do with you couldn't compete for 80 mins with stronger opposition?

Sound familiar? You will get back into SL but judging by your performance's over the complete season it's unlikely you'll sustain SL.

As for Leigh,we only have to judge what we have done in the 5 qualifiers not the whole season.

Having seen our performances through the season and in the Middle Eights to me it's like being promoted to super league and not adding to your squad before you play any SL team (wouldnt you say that was a bit crazy). Maybe the title of this thread is correct, maybe we ran out of steam V Fax, Maybe Richard Marshell did a better job than Paul in preparing the team for our "off the cuff" Dynamic style of play, or maybe Fax played us off the park in a one off game. It happens, we beat Salford and Wakey when the odds were against it, yes it hurts , yes it leaves a bad taste in the mouth and with the super confidence of Tipster Ant and Atomic Ste it make us look a tad arrogant and opposition fans will jump on any opportunity to bring us back down to earth .

Guess he is just responding to a couple of 'Widnes Trolls' who are visiting OUR forum, because we have lost another game....

It is not trolling at all and i have a few Leigh friends, and i would like them in Superleague over a Yorkshire team. He or she is just very touchy because your team are not doing too well.

Anyway i was joking with Frank over Leigh beating Widnes, and i said you can dream. It is hardly trolling and TerryKelly has got very touchy.

Our disciplinary record does not compare at all with Leigh's I cannot for example recall anyone being sent off and I believe we had far less sin bins. Leigh's poor record has been commented on more than one occasion on the forum.

I agree that we did not always compete for the eighty minutes and that's why we ended in the bottom four. What we did in the SL regular season has no bearing on your performances in the qualifiers. On the whole our supporters are far more realistic about where we are. I don't suppose the hype about what you were going to do in the qualifiers based on your results in the Championship and two good results in the cup when all the pressure was on the opposition helped you all keep your feet on the ground. Yes we may end up in the bottom four again next year but 5 from 5 means we are back in SL and suggests we are far from the worst team and so we should be able to sustain SL. We also have played more matches this year in SL/The Cup/Qualifiers than any other team as we got to the final and the bottom four clubs entered the cup a round earlier. Winning at Widnes after the highs of our semi-final win against the Wires and then beating Wakey after the pain of the final would seem to indicate that we are learning to win when under emotional stress. Very few teams whether they win or lose at Wembley go on to win the next match. The team has not had a week off since the beginning of the season which added to our horrendous injury list at one time led to some of our defeats. We played a number of matches with only two props, you should try that in SL.

I made what IMHO were valid points in response to a post on here. You respond not by countering my points but by deflecting them onto HKR's record. It is judging what you have done in the five qualifiers that really makes my point.

Keith, stuffed in 2 games...but we should have beat Hull KR, and lost to Wakefield by only 1 point, stuffed Sheffield. Bradford aren't going great guns either, but because they put 40+ past schizophenic Salford, they will get 4th or 5th spot, with us or Halifax an outside bet for 5th. We assembled a championship squad (albeit full time, and with Higham & Hock added later on) and with the aim of finishing in the top 4. Personally I thought Bradford & London would finish above us, and between Leigh & Fev for 3rd. Our league campaign was fantastic, and a nice cup run also. So to judge us my the 'black & white' of only winning 1 game in the qualifiers is a little unfair, in my opinion.

Better them than the CSA.
