Sad to hear about Wayne. I remember him at school but sadly didn't keep in touch after that. He obviously shared the same passion as me for Leigh. Thoughts go out to his family and friends at this difficult time. I hope that the club will honour him and all the other "Leythers" that have left us during the close season at the first home match next season.

Great bloke top sense of humour and a brilliant photographer to boot ,and apart from promoting the East and centurians , Wayne also gave up his time every year to help promote our annual charity golf day between the East and Miners our day wont be the same without him .

While I know we've been in the same crowds, I've never knowingly met this man, but I'd call him a good friend, and a wise and knowledgable counsel, from his comments and conversations on this forum. A sad loss, with heartfelt condolences to his family.
