| One of those that if it's for you then you can argue why. If goes against you the your baffled. The vagaries of the video ref I'm afraid

| I thought it were a try although I wouldnt have been surprised if it came back for a penalty for the ball steal. How long can the ref play advantage? I thought as soon as another Leigh player touched the ball it was essentially dead so should go up to that point. If its play on its a loose carry and the KR player knew nothing about touching the ball so I thought from there it was a try although Im not sure the ref should coach players and if Cockayne wants to put the ball down its up to him. Rather than shouting put the ball down it should have been waving play on or shouting it.

| I was much more concerned at what happened right at the end.
Hooter sounds, we chip over, HKR collect and the entire Leigh team start to walk off leaving Blair a clear run to the sticks. WTF???????? Does points difference not matter?
Thought Mick Higham did really well to run him down.

| Mickey did VERY well. It was a defining moment for me for the rest of our matches. Mickey hadn't given up and neither will this set of players. They'll regroup and give it their best at Salford, where I believe we can win.
Goal difference may well yet become important in such a small league and Mickey kept us down to just -10 instead of -16.

| It could have never been given as a ball steel and the carry wasn't the strongest but the ball was clearly knocked forward by the HKR players hand so that is a knock on. If the player who had made the contact had scored the try I would say less but the player who picked the ball up was in front of the tackle.

| It should never have got to that stage. If you watch it back, HKR have the ball and drop it, which is a free play to Leigh as said by the commentators, therefore for it should have been a scrum with head and feed to Leigh.

It was never dropped. Was the clearest rip you'll ever see. The debatable point there would be whether or not it was one on one.

| Well it's a right can of worms this now. This happens with the best two officials we have in GB looking at it. Doesn't say much about the set of rules that they have to work with.

| it was a strange one...but the game had gone for us, not mathematically, but the way Rovers were playing, compared to Leigh.

I'm not sure they follow the same set of rules though.

| Pretty sure watching the replay will show Horne does not touch the ball, different angle shows he missed the ball but hit the arm. That goes as a loose carry.

| We had a similar decision in the Hull Derby where Michaels pulled the ball out forward and the try was given. At the time, I said I would be disappointed if it was us that had done that and the try was disallowed.
For me, McCarthy had the ball stolen and then it was knocked out of the Leigh players hands by Horne's tackle. The decision for the try could have gone either way but I think if it was given as a no try then it should have been a penalty to rovers for a ball steal. Mantellato then would have probably kicked it and put the game beyond Leigh. Either way it is now history.
Good luck for the rest of the 8's and I hope we don't play each other again until next year in SL.

imo The call was stolen or lost on McCarthy, he obviously thought lost and it was forward, ie if Kay had fallen it would have been interesting to see what tackle was called. Its chip paper already and didnt lose the game
Good luck at Wembley
